That's really young, I think I would just use a warm damp cloth and wipe him. Go slow, the main thing now is you don't want him to be scared. Always test the water on the inside of your forearm, just like you would a human baby. Dogs, especially puppies cannot handle hot water, so try for warm water, not hot. The room should be warm, no drafts, and I heat Joey's towel in the microwave for a minute. You can't have any wet spots on the towel or it will overheat and burn, so check the towel before you wrap dog in it. I pad the counter with lots of towels, and gave Cheerios as treats, to help him get use to the bathing routine. Joey's breeder told me to do everything matter of factly, don't let them know that you're scared, hold them with certainty.
