Yes, she only uses her litterbox. It's not like I didn't want her to go outside at all but she just won't do it - not even if we spent hours (3~4 hrs at a time maybe) out there. She would hold it until we get back in the house and go to her litterbox. But, as long as she is house trained I am happy. The good thing is I don't have to get up early just to take her out to go potty - and it's freezing outside sometimes. She would just go in the litterbox on her own. It's been working out great for me.

And yes, she does sometimes step into her little puddles but not very often as she tries very hard not to get herself wet. After she has been holding it for a longtime, she would only “release” part of it at a time. I mean she would go and jump out of the box before she got her feet wet and wait for me to replace the paper. Once that’s done, she would go in again to finish the job and jump out again. When I am done with the second cleaning, she would go in and do the “solid” part and came out for a treat.

Occasionally she dose step into her little puddles. For that, I usually placed another piece of newspaper right in front (where she usually exits the box) of her litterbox just in case she needs to “wipe it up”. As I don’t want to soil the carpet her littlebox is placed in the bathroom where the floor can be easily wiped up. I guess I can get a bigger box for her so she has a better chance of making it out nice and clean. I don’t think that would solve the problem completely so I am sticking with the two small size litterboxes we have right now.

luvmyorkie if you need any help on litterbox training, pm me and I will be more than happy to help you out.
