Default Medical question

I don't know if this is the place to post this...

As some of you know I had the plate and screws in my femur/hip removed on Oct. 3. as an out patient. Long story short on Oct. 9 I ended up in ER and admitted because a huge hematoma developed and I required 2 transfusions.

My question is a far as the hematoma is concerned. What can be done to help it dissolve? It has become somewhat hard at the incision site and I don't want it to be permanent. The staples just came out yesterday and the doctor said to apply heat with a heating pad which I have been doing since yesterday.

If anyone of you wishes to PM me feel free or here is fine. I am so worried it will calcify and it is the last thing I want. Thank you for your advice, experience or any information you may have.
