Hi I will give you some basics, but take it slow and read more than you type. Also until you have been around a week or have a certain amount of posts, the admin will have to review what you type before publishing your comment, so you will probably get that message about reviewing your post, and then you will not see it published on this web site for as long as a day, then all of a sudden your post will show up, it is sometimes confusing but normally in less than a week that goes away.

When you sign in there will be a main page, the main page is like a table of contents in a self help book, just scan down the list and you will see all the different forums (areas of interest) they start with the main one which General Discussions, then you will see Pictures, Videos, Sick and Injured, fashion, etc. There is just about a topic for everything, even an off topic section which means it has nothing to do with yorkies.

When you click on one of those main (forums) topics it will open up to all the different threads in that forum. Threads are topics started by a Yorkie Talk member, they are like conversations that anyone can join in on, only they ask that if you post on someone's thread (conversation) that you try to stay on the topic of the thread. So if you see a thread about a pups favorite, you would not ask a question like what type of grooming spray will make my dog look shiny, because your question was not about the topic.

So if you have a question about health issues, you would open up the sick and injured section and before you make a new thread, you should scan down several pages to see if what you needed to know was already posted about. If you have a picture or video to share look for the picture or video thread you would start a new thread and post in that category/forum. Often I will see new people post threads that sounds crazy, but only because it was posted in the wrong forum. For instance you might have a pup that passed away (and there is a section for that) so you would not make a new thread in the video section, you would make it in the lost and grieving forum/section. But don't worry you will get the hang of it.
