I just sent her a message via Etsy about the fabric. I don't know if she would sell it though if she knew I wanted to make things to sell on Etsy. If she says she will sell it, I will tell her what I plan to do with it. I can't be dishonest like that.

I don't see why she would mind, after all, you're paying her for the material, the same if you bought it anywhere. Sewing may not be her forte; the items she makes are pretty simple. Her talent lies is designing the material!
