I personally wouldn’t worry about this. Do your dogs have plenty of fresh water available? I studied nutrition and there are so many areas that are unknown, and the experts continue to argue. I’m with the group that says every organism knows how much water to drink, unless they are sick or they are taking substances that dehydrate them, and then extra water is called for. Humans are much more likely to be dehydrated than dogs because we drink things with caffeine in them and alcohol which also dehydrates. If your dog has water in his food, he will drink less water from his bowl. Just make sure your water bowls contain fresh clean water.
