When I first got my puppy (at age of 12 weeks), I got up every two to three hours thru the night to let her go puppy. However, she doesn't always wants to go as planned. She would cry for potty break in the middle of the night but I can never get to her in time (she sleeps in our master bath then). I ended up has to give her a bath in the middle of the night - that's no fun for either of us. So, I fence off an area for her and left the door of her carrier (where she sleep) open during the night. She would just go in her litterbox on her own whenever she needs to go. I still got up every few hours to clean up her litterbox because she won't use it again if it's been soiled. She is 7 months old now so she can hold it thru the night and we all sleep a lot better now.

One way or another, your baby needs potty breaks in the middle of the night for now. I am sure you would figure out what works best for you. You can also do a search here to see how other member handle it at the beginning. Good luck with your little one.
Do you stricttly use litter box training as opposed to going outside? How is the litter box training working for you? I've experienced that when you use the wee wee pads or newspaper, they have a tendency to step in it afterwards - do you have this problem as well?
