Hmm... I wouldn't go for the 'I don't want to give it up, but I want you to take care of her'. It sounds like the potential for a disaster. If she can't take care of the dog, she needs to give it up. I am fostering for an older lady who is looking for a home for her yorkie, but I am not paying for its medical care or anything... Just basically babysitting.
