I know how you feel! Hulk is being neutred today as well, (he's just a little over 8 mos as well!). Our vet had us bring him in last night for all the blood work and he kept him overnight to do the fasting etc etc. He's getting the surgery and two canines pulled this morning, and it's our vets practice to keep him overnight again just so he can keep an eye on him. I'm grateful for that, but it really stinks not having him around. I'm looking forward to picking him up tomorrow night.
Right now I'm just waiting for the call and trying to keep myself busy at work...lol...as you can see that's going well.
From what I've read around here, it seems that most of them are pretty tired the first day or two, but bounce back pretty quickly. I'm sure he'll just be happy to see his mom
