I believe as long as your little ones are drinking enough water, they should be okay. For dogs who do not like to drink, they are the ones that really need the moist food. As the doctor said in the video, cats are at greatest risk because they aren't known for being big drinkers.

When my boys have moist food, their water intake reduces in direct proportion. That is why I am confident that they are never dehydrated.

Similar for humans -- we obtain a lot of our fluids from food, and often our "hunger" pangs are more a signal that we are dehydrated.
