Oh how lucky your little angel is to have you for his Mommy. We rescued our Scooter from a crazy family who hated him.
He is now the most adored Yorkie in the universe. Don't worry about him being a bit stand off ish, he probably has a very good reason. He will come around as Scooter did. When we first brought him home he was terrified of everything and hid under the bed. Once he figures out that his new forever home is the best place in the world he will become a regular Velcro dog and you will love it. I can't help you with his meals but I'm sure he will settle down and begin to eat what you serve. Welcome to our Yorkie world.
