Waffles is twice a yorkies size at 9pds and I never allow her outside alone. Heck Ive found shes not even safe on the ground leashed. We have had large dogs try and get her on walks. And We have many coyotes. Even though we live in a busy neighborhood ive had the coyotes in my front yard many times. Its very scary. Protect your babies regardless of their size.
So sorry this happened to Gunner. My heart breaks for you. We had a cat taken and killed 5 years ago
