I went to a holistic animal care store today and they recommended yucca intensive drops mixed in her food. I guess this has a natural anti inflammatory effect that would be helpful for her stomach and also some abandoment drops that may help ease some anxiety when left alone, I would rub it on her ear before leaving.... wondering if anyone has any experience with either product? Thanks for the info... on a side note we were feeding her nature's variety instinct rabbit kibble before, I am currently doing boiled chicken and rice for right now and will be researching a different food for her...and I am also going to start her on a probiotic... thanks!!!!
Boiled chicken and rice is not a complete diet. Your dog needs vitamins and minerals that that diet doesn't offer. People who work in health food stores have no training, they are salesman not doctors. I wouldn't give something that my vet didn't approve of. I also don't trust medicines that haven't been tested and claim to work on that many ailments. I agree with Kjc, you need to go to a specialist. Probiotics are good, and especially after treatment with an antibiotic, but once the good bacteria are reintroduced into the intestines, they should continue to grow their on their own, without further supplementation. Make sure that there are no plants that she's chewing on that could cause a problem and stop the treats, they have been known to cause problems.
