I saw a survey done by the Associated Press that said 62% of the polled people would only spend $500 for a pets health emergency, I was shocked by that number. Fewer than half said they would spend $1000, and only 1/3 would spend $2000. I think a lot of people would spend the money to save their pet, I believe the problem is it's just not available to them. This is so sad for the pet..... |

I have heard my own family says stuff like this. I will also say I have seen the same member fight to save a pet.. money and time. I think until you love a pet you "think" you would not pay but when the time comes you do. I used to think people were crazy ..before I ever had a dog..now I would do what I have to do.
Also.. and this may have already been said and I am sorry if I am repeating.. today it isn't simple vet care or a simple operation. I don't even blink an eye at bills under a 1000.00 (and trust me I don't have the money and have to give something up to find the money). ... but many illness can cost 10,000.00 and up. When do you balance that expense with the quality of life of your pet? I just pray I never have to face that decision
