Our yorkie pup Percy also injured his left hind leg two weeks ago. There's this incident when he was chewing a roll of paper towel. I quickly grabbed it away because I don't like him getting used to chewing stuffs that are not supposed for him. So anyway, being the feisty and hard headed, strong willed trait of a terrier, he didn't like the idea of me grabbing his "new found toy" he jumped so high to grab the paper towel roll and landed hard on the floor. He was crying for about 5 seconds. I knew instantly he was injured. So i lifted him and checked his hind leg. He doesn't cry when I touch or massage it but he still do the limping when he walks. That's when we decided to bring Percy to the hospital vet at 9:00 at night. They did x-ray and found no broken bones. His vet says he probably just sprained his leg and prescribed him some pain killer and told us to confine him when we get home in a small crate for a week to minimize walking and strenous activity. We went home $450 poorer but we have our peace of mind. I wouldn't be able to sleep that night knowing we didn't do anything to seek for an immediate medical help. Percy is perfectly fine now, running like a speeding bullet. I suggest you bring him to a vet ASAP! They need to examine sir Arthur personally and not just over the phone. Meanwhile, you also need to confine him so that he won't be walking around limping and to prevent any further damage to the injured leg. Im praying and hoping that your baby will get well soon.
