ultrasound is usually best when done 25 days into a pregnancy
palpitation is reliable 20-30 days - never to be done by a novice you can damage a fetus
x-ray 45 days plus - I do x-rays at day 52 getting the most accurate read but you can still be fooled...kids can hide under the rib cage.
