I think this is probably why the majority don't say anything. I can relate. When someone I know has a loss...be it human or the furry kind..I really struggle with, "Should I say something or would it make it worse?"
Saying something is always better than not. It's hard to comprehend that for a lot of people...including me. But I have learned it thru my own losses and what I would have wanted.
