wow that is so sad, did you recognize the kids, I wonder what their plan for the shovel was.
It's so hard to trust friends with your dogs, I have learned my lesson several times. 26 years ago I had my first yorkie Reggie and I would let him out to potty off leash even though we did not have a fenced in yard, for some reason he always stayed on my property. (I never would do that now) I was running late one day and called my neighbor who had a key I asked her if she could let Reggie "out" she said sure no problem. When I came home he was nowhere in the house, I was frantic so I called her on the phone and asked where my dog was. She said I think he is still sitting by the side of your house huddled against the wall. I said WHAT why is he outside, she said you asked me to let him "out" you never said you wanted me to let him back in!!!!!!!!!! She did not have a dog but for the life of me I could not figure how someone could be so stupid. One time I let my aunt's dog outside when they were at my parents house, and I left her out there with my dog, the yard was fenced but boy was my aunt pissed at me for letting her dog out when she did not know about it. I learned my lesson then don't mess with anyone else's dog because everyone treats them different.
I am just so glad you got out there in the nick of time. |
