Not at all. It goes right to the stain and odor, the mat under your carpet and breaks the urine down. No lightening of the color at all. I have 6 dogs and one with Bladder cancer, he cant control himself anymore and wears diapers. I go thru about 6 diapers a day with him and they do leak, and his urine if so foul. This product has great reviews so I tried it and love it. I am on my third gallon....Wont ever waist my money on anything else.
