Shampoos are relatively safe, it's highly diluted (not the groomer's shampoo, as those are concentrated)...but it's hard to keep them from drinking their soapy bath water like Kristin mentioned!

Tee tree oil is harmful if ingested in pure oil form. In the case of aloe, ingesting the plant itself or in concentrated form like a gel is toxic.

Shampoo that contains d-limonene, never use this product intended for dogs on cats & never use together w/a natural pyrethin flea shampoo that also contains piperonyl butoxide, as the toxic effects of citrus oils can increase.

If you don't feel comfortable using products that contain the items of concern, just toss it.
