[Foster Mom]

Sorry have not been around in awhile. Life has a way of getting in the way of social activities sometimes.

Got a new little foster boy, his name is Kofi. He was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Brooklyn and on the euthanize list. He is 13-14, severely underweight, he weights 4.6 pounds and should be at least 6.5 vet thinks. Poor little fellow has had such a hard time,first being beaten and severely neglected at his home, then he was with me for not even 2 days before he ended up in the hospital, and of course my 3 ended up getting whatever it was he brought in the house. Then Wed night he started with the kennel cough type of cough so off to the Er we went as he was choking so bad and had big puddle of froth running down his face. Vet gave him a shot to stop the coughing and told me to see vet in morning. Went to the vet and he believes Bronchial Pneumonia, according to the xrays, he also saw a mass on his lung, but that is not conclusive as it could have been how he was laying and wiggling and could be fluid or part of his heart. His teeth are in terrible shape and some are just hanging there in his mouth.....but we cannot have the dental and neutering done until he gets better and puts some weight on....We will find out in 2 weeks hopefully. Poor little guy just deserves a chance to know warmth, gentle hands and love.

Could you all please spare a few prayers for him, he could sure use them right now.
