I wash all the stuffed toys in the washer on gentle cycle... all the hard toys go in a bucket of diluted bleach to soak, then rinse 3X, then dried. Mend what I can and toss anything broken. It's fun bc when they get them back, it's like all new toys!
Abcesses can happen if a little chunk of tooth or tartar happens to find it's way into a crevice, or if a tooth breaks during extraction and a bit is left in. Sometimes the vet won't dig around too much if there's alot of blood. Sometimes the pieces work their way out on their own, sometimes not. |
