Wild critters are definitely a concern...and there are plenty in Florida...including coyotes. There have been several black bears 'in town' here over the past few years. True, we are cutting down their habitat to build our own in the space they claimed as theirs, but one of those bears...the first...was less than 4 miles from my house...on the street I live on. I didn't have Yorkies at the time, but it's still a scary thought because you could run into one never thinking it could ever happen...especially during mating season when they really roam.
