No, I'll bet the guys cleaning it were ready to barf, it says the smell doesn't come out with just water. The good thing about products like Nature's Miracle is you don't have to rinse the solution out. Many detergents that you use with steam cleaners have to be rinsed out completely or it will attract more dirt and make the carpet feel funny.
