Yes~blue born is silver at birth!! There are silver & blond looking yorkies as adults= not the same thing!! (On an adult blue born the silver hair area is coarse & sparse)
I also have read in the meantime~that a blue born coming from a dark tan/blue saddle mom (which Hippo has) is a healthier blue born than one coming from a blond/silver mom?!? Any thoughts?!? Seems like there is still a lot of 'unknowns'?!?

Hippo's eyes were a greenish/hazel color as a puppy~but they turned brown as an adult~not as dark brown as his mom's ~ but definitely brown!!
