I would get him checked out by the vet. Could be a yeast infection. Yumi had one in her ear once and it smelled kinda funky, not like a horrible "omg eww" kind of smell but just not quite right. They can get them on their skin too and I would think the smell would be about the same. If you google Dog yeast infections there should be lists of other symptoms to look out for.
I can't find where but I seem to remember reading that yorkies generally have a very mild smell. I can't tell that Yumi smells at all. That said some dog will smell more than others I'm sure. I would just want to find out for sure it wasn't medical. |
