I think if you're dog has an odor it could be the start of some type of infection. I think you should pay attention to all odors. Foul odors coming from the ears could mean a yeast infection. If it’s coming from his butt, he could have problems with his anal glands. If it’s coming from his mouth it could be his food isn’t agreeing with him or he’s losing teeth. At that age, they are urinating about every hour, do you think he’s peeing and rolling in it, or are you taking him out hourly? You say you snuggled with him after work, was someone else taking him out? If you can't take him out hourly, you should use pee pads. He can hold it a little longer at night, urine production slows down, but during the day, a 12 week old yorkie can't hold it much longer than an hour.
