What a horrible tragedy! The poor thing and her children are likely forever changed and sadly, if they don't put him away for a long, long, long time, this beast may try to silence her for good just because he can't have her. I've seen those horror stories on TV where the husband or bofriend wants to return to finish the job - even years and years later. I hope and pray that counselling can help her learn to deal with what happened and how to learn to recognize the type of male who would do this just in case she ever develops enough trust to have another relationship. Those poor little kids - what they have seen and experienced is heartbreaking and so sad. I hope she will stay in church with her children and come to know a home and some healing and peace there among good people of faith. You all might be her only hold on sanity for the next months and years. I hope that after his trial, the judge will put him away for the maximum time limit and he's an old man before he ever walks out of prison, particularly since he's re-offended as they say. Maybe by that time, she will have a new life and have moved on. Couldn't hurt if she's marry a professional MMA fighter and buy two or three ill-tempered, Schutzhund-trained big dogs from the Czech Republic! I think if I were she, I would gravitate toward the real help and hope you and your fellow church members are offering her. I will certainly pray for this poor woman and her children and for her sweet nephew!
