Have you ever tried the Dazer II - the ultrasonic, handheld sound device that will stop some dogs from barking? It sure helped with my neighbor's dogs while she was training them not to bark after complaints. If I use it now, they run the other way, to the other side of the yard. My son sometimes uses it when he walks into an area with runs of barking dogs where he works - says it usually stops them all immediately! You can't overuse it or it doesn't work but it sure can work with some dogs to help a lot.
