Trust your instincts. Sounds like more pros than cons in your mind. In reality is there ever a perfect time to add to the family? They sound like a good match. All the signs are there. If the dog is healthy, you can afford the additional expense, time, etc.,why not?
There will of course be an adjustment period, but that's to be expected with moving anyway, let alone getting another dog. And getting an adult is much easier than raising a puppy.
