Oh my gosh how horrible. You never know who you can and can not trust anymore. This world is getting more wicked all the time.
Interviewing themon the phone and getting references is a very good idea but that still doesn't make everything 100% safe. They could give you actually references from someone else who they have basically stolen their identity.
