1) It's in their nature to hunt prey, as all of our little Varminteers have been bread to do. That scrubbing action is an attempt to disguise their natural or imposed scent from the soap, where they can "hide" in the environment.

2) It's a "follow the leader" thing. You're still eating, so, they want to also, even if they are satisfied with their own level of consumption. I do hand feed my two "select" items off of the dinner table, and usually do a partial chewing (usually bits of Stake) with the item first. Many don't do this but, it emulates a natural activity of getting food directly from the mouth of a parent/leader. They KNOW what your saliva smells like. And, that's why (mainly puppies) try to lick their parent's faces, to promote a morsel of food to be given. That, in a formal pack, would provoke a parent to vomit up food for them to eat. Taking food out of your mouth for them to eat, is a VERY powerful Alpha influence to them.

3) Of course they know when it's a weekend ! I think the problem is, that you are yielding to their demands, and feeding/waking up when they want you to. Set a schedule for those days, and stick to it !
