Sorry your baby has cushings. I have no personal experience w/it, but just wanted to bump this thread for you.
Mine eat The Honest Kitchen for breakfast & the ones that needed to lose weight lost it & the ones that needed to gain gained. I'm not sure how that worked out, but I think it comes down to the portions. THK is low in fat & has moderate protein levels. I use it bc 1 of mine had colitis (inflammation of the colon) & she needs to be on a low fat, high fiber diet.
They get Canine Caviar grain free kibble for dinner. I like that it's a limited ingredient kibble w/highest digestibility (91-93%), no potatoes (inflammatory food), no tapioca (high in glucose) nor flax & tomato pomace. I think some of mine had allergies/intolerance to these ingredients, as they got soft poopies only @ the end. Their previous kibble had the latter 2 of these ingredients.
I am very happy w/what they're eating right now, they're doing very well. Hope you'll find a suitable diet for your girl. |
