A little update on what is going on. I have no real pain which I think is a blessing. The only thing that bothers me is that when I get up to go wherever on the crutches my head gets this pounding sound...it goes along with my heartbeat. And I get lightheaded at the same time. I called the on call doctor and he doesn't seem to think anything of it. So, I do as little "walking" as possible.
I am sleeping with my leg on pillows elevating it and it has helped with the swelling. The pounding and lightheadedness are the only thing that may concern me. Otherwise, I am doing well.
