It's been a looonnnnggggggg 10 months but Barney is finally recovered from his torn ligament. I am happy to report that despite the catastrophic injury he suffered and the complications which required a second surgery, Barney is 100% back to himself. I owe his success in great part not only to his surgeon who never lost faith in Barney (and was somehow able to stand putting up with me
) but also to his therapist who got into the water treadmill with him twice a week and got him up to 1 mile in 30 mins. He went from a 60% muscle loss on his leg to putting almost all of the muscle back on. He has regained all of his function. I'm so happy for my Barney!! The outcome of seeing him being himself again makes it all worthwhile!
