I would text her back and tell her she and hubby need to keep her as they invested so much in her.

Upping the price on you like that AFTER you've already been quoted a price is a come-on, bait-and-switch for the petlover who so wants a dog and some fall for it!!! Anyone unscrupulous to try to do that to you is unscrupulous enough to switch dogs when they ship her or when you go to pick her up after you've put down a nice deposit! I wouldn't trust them and would keep looking. I know it is hard but waiting until you find the right, reputable breeder and then the right dog is well worth it. Sorry you ran into a seller like that.
