Silica gel is the common ingredient.
Silica dust can be deadly if too much is inhaled.
As for Mylecon, Silica gel and dimethyl polysiloxanes (simethicone) are both non toxic.
Any reactions were from allergic responses in humans to simethicone.
I did not read anything that said Mylecon was 'recommended for use in infants'.
It is an ingredient in Bloat Buster, made for dogs.
There are no regulations for homeopathic remedies, so quality and safety may be of issue with them. | Mylicon makes an infant drop that's used in fussy, gassy babies. They also had a recall a few years ago. We recommend gripe water but I don't know it's usefulness or effectiveness in dogs, only newborn babies.
