I have been through the tummy problems with my Rosie. She was on Science Diet for a long time and then I changed to homecooking. I started with a brown rice and chicken diet. I have been able to expand that since then. She is also able to handle butternut squash and sweet potatoes.
Two very important things, 1. Get a recipe for the diet from a nutrionist 2. Buy a supplement to go with it. I used petdiets.com for my recipe and I use BalanceIt for a supplement. It was the best thing ever for my Rosie. She has been on it for a long time now and doing very well. We used to be at the vet numerous times per year with tummy issues. But since I have started home cooking, we have only had one or two issues. I think it was a great choice. |
