I tried Tibbe on Royal Canin GI but he really itched from that so switched to the Hill's I/D. He was still symptomatic for another week - 10 days and then from time-to-time and had that mucus in his stool for another 2 weeks or so most days but eventually, over time, he quit jumping awake and acting scared, reverse sneezing, the hard belly that would blow up stopped happening and he became Tibbe again! Got back to his devilish ways and playing and slept like a log and I walked on eggs for another month and still do to some extent but he's stayed steady now for 6 - 8 weeks! I must have taken him to the vet 6 - 7 times during those 5 weeks when he was sick and they kept assuring me he'd be fine as did Crystal and sure enough, he is! He had one little bad day after foraging outside and came in licking his chops so I know he ate something from the yard and the next day he lay around with a gassy tummy and did a bit of reverse sneezing. Gave him Pepcid & withheld his food most of the day and by that night he ate some dry kibble, was back to himself the next day. So he went for years having a castiron stomach and then this summer, he got a touchy one. But, thank goodness, it has been treatable and he's back being himself in all other ways except for me watching his diet and feeding him only the Hill's I/D, even his treats are made from it. I think by the end of this month, I'll start to switch him very gradually to his Wellness or whatever it is Crystal said she feeds one or more of her dogs. I hope he can tolerate the change.
I hope little Taycie will start to feel better soon. Maybe she just ate something she found lying about & it upset/irritated things and she's going to get better in a few days - week or so. I sure pray she does. If she's not having really dramatic symptoms you might wait a day or two for further testing just to see if it's only an irritation/spasm situation.
