Dasuquin is what Columbo takes. It's like Cosoquin, but better. Contains glucosamine, but also has ASU, chondroitin, MSM and a few other things. It lubes up the joints and the MSM also has pain relieving qualities. I buy the chewable tablets for small dogs. The tablets are larger, so I use a pill cutter to cut them in half, which is still a little more than the recommended dosage for his size. One bottle of 150 tablets cut in half lasts 10 months. He loves it and thinks it's a treat. He was suffering from a stiff neck and the doctor put him on rimadyl, which is not safe to be on long term. He has now taken it for 5 years and never takes rimadyl. Dasuquin is a miracle worker. It takes a month or two to kick in
