Believe me, it grows back....and pretty quickly! I shave mine just because I think THEY appreciate it in the hot Texas summers, and with me working full time outside of the home, I just do not have the time to sit and brush through all my dogs every night! Maybe when I retire, I will have time to just SIT and BRUSH/COMB!!!! I just shaved mine all down again last week, and they will be grown out enough to tolerate our "plummeting winter temps of 40*"!!!! and by the time it starts to warm up again next year, it will be time to shave them again!
