My tip would be to make sure he is comfortable in the bag. Take him places in it and make sure he will do well
Make it a positive experience and give him treats for riding in it. If you already have done this... he will do great!
It sounds like a small would be fine for him, but get a bigger one if you think he doesn't have enough room. He will probably just sleep the entire time.
