Sneak Him in! Hi. Yes, I sneak my yorkie into hotels when he is in the states with me. That is another reason we live in Europe. When we check into hotels in Europe, he often gets better service and treatment than we do!
Having said that, he doesn't bark, doesn't chew, never messes up and seems to know that we are doing a naughty when we sneak him into a hotel in the states. He ducks his head in my bag and stays very quiet while we walk through the lobby. We make sure that we walk him morning, afternoon and night, though he usually spends the days with us. If you can find a dog friendly hotel, all the better, otherwise, do not cancel your trip. Remember, if a member of staff catches you, bribes go a long way!
The last time we went to a four star hotel together in Genoa, Italy, he jumped up on the luggage cart after the bellman had loaded our bags and rode it up the elevator and all the way to our room. He did this of his own accord. He is a really bizarro dogtator (he rules). |
