Thank you seems like we both love going overboard during the holidays. LOL one of the reasons I have so many photos is it helps me from year to year remember where to put everything. I used to put up a display of Christmas Houses at one end of my dinning room. I would pile up books and boxes and so forth to create all the levels, I finally realized how helpful it would be to photograph the stages and especially how all the books and boxes were positioned before I draped green fabric and fake snow all over it. So that is one of my tips, if you do an elaborate display photograph it in the making it will make it much easier to recreate the following year.
I also have very large Rubbermaid type storage tubs for all this, they are labeled by rooms. To make room for the holiday decor I have to remove everyday things, so that gets put into the tubs for that room, it makes it quicker on both ends and less of a mess since I finish one room before moving on to the next.
