Hi y'all.
It has been a while since I checked it and I thought I'd give you an update on the pups.
Ever since Tyler came in to the family everyone is getting along really well. He is a true omega and is everyone's best buddy. This morning I woke up with Gracie Adie and Tyler on top of me doing a three-way kiss. That was so cute and so uncharacteristic of Adie and Gracie it surprised me! But the two of them have really started to get along. Skeeter and Tyler pair up to chase the cat for fun. (The cat loves it as she is twice as big as the biggest of the yorkies and usually starts it.)

The struggle for alpha has finally been won by Adie. It took a couple of fights but what really did it was Adie defending Cassie (the shih tzu) when Gracie would try to bully her. Cassie has always been the alpha but just gradually gave it up with the blindness.

Cassie remains healthy even with her hearing loss and blindness. We have noticed that she is loosing muscle mass so her age is really starting to show. She sleeps most of the time but when she is awake she is still the sweet happy tail wagging dog she has always been.

Touhy - the cat is no longer the cat from hell but gives us a peak at it every once in a while. We have taught her to sit, sit up and high-five! She is more dog than cat I think. The funniest thing she does is walk up to each dog and smack em on the head trying to get them to chase her. She just does it once and most of the time only one will take the bait. It just depends on who has the most energy.

Adie is still alerting me to low blood sugars and making sure that Cassie wakes up for potty breaks. I tell her to go get Cassie and she trots off to get her. Adie is a very special little girl.
