It was scary, and I think it's still out there. The most common hawks we have are the large redtailed hawks, but that's not what this was. It's shaped more like a falcon and much smaller than the redtailed hawks. I don't think it was big enough to carry off either one of my dogs, but not that it couldn't do damage with it's talons and beak if it attacked. Still very scary and a warning that I have to be extra vigilant when they're outside.
