Puppies are hard, but you are headed in the right direction. I would suggest to not give him free roam of the entire house. Gate off all areas of the house except living room, kitchen for example, or where ever he hangs out most. Then as he gets older give him more and more room. He has to earn it. If he has accidents then restrict the areas he can go again.

Taking him outside every two hours is great, even if he doesn't go, it's a good habit to get into.

Also feed him at the same times every day so you have a better idea of when he needs to go.
