How about putting a piece of clothing with your scent on it (nothing good) inside the crate with Buddy? That worked for me. I've previously crate trained two of my dogs successfully but I'm going to try something different this time. I'm going to use an x-pen. I bought one of those pop-up doggy tents from CVS for $10 and a soft little bed to put in it. When my babies come home it will go into the pen along with food/water and a pee pad. This is what my breeder, Brenda suggested so the pups have access to food and water at all times. I think it's going to work out well for all of us. I must say Buddy is lucky to have you. You seem to be a very conscientious doggy owner!
