Not sure what kind we have here, but they live close and feast on birds in between mine and my neighbors houses, less than 25 feet away from where the dog run is. I think that my dogs would kill one before they had a chance to do any harm.
Now your little one that a different story. Smaller pups to a hawk probebly look like Dinner. I can conpleatly understand your reaction !
