Sorry, I know what you are going through.

Lil Bear has a liver shunt which is treated by low protein food..we keep her on about a 12% protein food. She's not fond of it but will eat it. We leave it out for her all day with plenty of water and then for dinner we give her some wet food usually half a ceasr. She has eaten walthum which she is eating right now, the vet carries royal canin LP, we haven't opened it up yet but the bag seems to intrest her. We have to watch treats too and keep them protein real low. Lil Bear does eat beets, which I have read can help with the liver.
